There’s nothing quite like cooling off on a hot day with a round of refreshing slushies! This summer, save your cash and try making them at home. These vibrant, rainbow-layered drinks are every bit as fabulous as the ones at your favorite beachfront bar at a fraction of the price

Ingredients

  • 6 (2 oz) Assorted Freeze Pops (frozen)
  • ¾ cup of White Rum (optional)
  • Mini Cocktail Umbrellas (optional)
  • Straws (for serving)

Steps

  1. Place a red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple freeze pop into separate bowls.
  2. Add about 2 tablespoons of rum to each bowl. Mix and break up the popsicles into small pieces with a fork to make slush.
  3. Divide each color of slush into serving glasses, layering them in reverse rainbow order: first purple, then blue, green, yellow, orange and lastly, red. Garnish with a mini cocktail umbrella and colorful straw and serve.

Variations

Use your favorite juice or club soda instead of rum in this recipe for a non-alcoholic slushie.
